ABOUT

THE MARMOT OBSERVATORY

Welcome to our observatory, a celestial haven with a rich history. Originally established in 1972 with a 16-inch telescope, the observatory underwent a transformative journey. After a period of disrepair, it welcomed a C14 Celestron telescope in the late 80s/ early 90s.

In 2015, the Astronomical Society of the Palm Beaches installed a Meade 14-inch Schmidt Cassegrain later replaced in 2018 by a custom 10-inch refractor designed and installed by the Marmot Observatory Complex Team. Today, this refractor, crafted for the cosmos, stands as a testament to our commitment to astonomy for future generations.
